My story

Hi, I'm Mrs. Murphy, a teacher right here in Statesboro, Georgia, and I am so glad you found your way to this page. Reading is my favorite subject, and lately I have been exploring all kinds of book genres, so if you need help with reading, writing, or math homework, I am your person. I started working at McDonald's at 15, so I know what it feels like to be figuring things out one step at a time, and I truly believe progress matters way more than perfection. When I am not in the classroom, you might catch me shopping, planning a trip, grabbing honey roasted peanuts and a Dr. Pepper, or at my favorite pizza or wing spot. My hype song is Swag Surf, I can turn almost anything into a learning moment, and I will probably make you laugh along the way. If you are a little nervous, that is completely okay because we will learn and grow together, and I cannot wait to hear your story and cheer you on every step of the way!

Best advice

Never be afraid to ask for help, growth happens when we learn from others. Progress is better than perfection. Be kind to yourself, stay consistent, and remember that growth takes time.
