Supports non-traditional college students who have returned to school and are pursuing their educational goals. Recognizes perseverance, dedication, and commitment to building a better future through education.
Eligibility
Who can apply for this scholarship.
- 23 years of age or older
- Be enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Completed at least 15 credit hours
- Maintaining a 2.5 GPA or higher

The Second Start Scholarship supports non-traditional college students who have chosen to return to school and pursue their educational goals. This scholarship recognizes perseverance, dedication, and commitment to building a better future through education. Applications open each June.

Why It Exists
Built around the founders' own journey. Kelvin and Joybora are themselves non-traditional college students at Georgia Southern. The scholarship is grounded in lived experience, not theory.

The recipient of the Second Start Scholarship will receive financial support to help cover educational expenses, such as tuition, books, and other academic costs. Scholarship amounts may vary depending on available funding and community support.
