First Mentor-Mentee Group Meeting
Our first official Mentor-Mentee Group Meeting brought our scholars to Georgia Southern University for an evening of exposure, education, positive relationships, new experiences, and community. Scholars visited the Georgia Southern Planetarium, learning, asking questions, and exploring something new together. The brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Xi Tau Chapter, shared powerful words of encouragement about education and continuing to strive for success. The evening closed with dinner at the Georgia Southern Dining Commons and meaningful conversation with members of the Georgia Southern NAACP Chapter.
Thank you to our mentors, community supporters, and everyone who helped make our first group experience one our scholars could truly enjoy. This is only the beginning.

Community Launch
Our official community launch welcomed approximately 60 families and between 60 and 100 students from across Statesboro. Families met our mentors and leadership team while learning about the Youth Mentorship Program, Academic Success Program, Next Generation Leadership Academy, and the Second Start Scholarship. It marked the beginning of our mission to educate, mentor, and empower students throughout our community.

1st Annual gReady Bags Back-to-School Drive
Next Generation Scholars proudly hosted our first annual gReady Bags Back-to-School Drive, serving more than 100 local families with backpacks, school supplies, and resources to help students begin the new school year prepared and confident. The event also gave mentees an opportunity to meet their mentors, connect with our team, and learn more about the support available through our programs. We are grateful to every donor, volunteer, mentor, partner, and community member who helped make this event possible.
