Scholarship Purpose

The Second Start Scholarship was created to support individuals who pursue higher education through a non-traditional path. Many students delay college due to work, family responsibilities, or life circumstances, but that does not diminish their potential or determination.

This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate perseverance, academic commitment, and a desire to create better opportunities for themselves and their communities.

At Next Generation Scholars, we believe that it’s never too late to pursue education and purpose.

The Second Start Scholarship exists to encourage and support non-traditional college students who have taken the initiative to return to school and continue their educational journey.
